Will I need a car once in Copper?
If you are staying in Copper, the village is fully walkable and all events are within walking distance.
If you’d like to explore Summit County, a rental car is a great option and if you fly into DIA it is needed to get to the mountains. You can find shuttle services the will make the drive up!
Anything to note on the altitude?
We cannot possibly stress this enough — please hydrate with lots of water the days leading up to and once in Colorado!!!!
Copper is known as one of the highest base elevation ski towns in Colorado (9,712 feet) and the Ceremony and Reception will be at The Arie which is at 11,207 ft! For anyone landing in Denver that much elevation gain in a very short period of time is NO JOKE.
Altitude sickness is very real and will make the weekend no where near as enjoyable as we want it to be for you!!!
Drink electrolytes
Apply sunscreen (the sun is strong at altitude)
Bring layers for cool mornings and evenings
Take it easy your first day
P.S. Keep this in mind for adult beverages too they hit harder than you realize :)
Children and Plus Ones?
We hope you can celebrate all evening with us, therefore, this is an adult only event.
Please refer to your invitation as to the specific guests who are invited.
What to pack?
Comfortable walking shoes
A light jacket or wrap for evenings
Sunglasses & sunscreen
Daytime casual outfits for exploring
Elevated attire for wedding events
What will the weather be like?
Summer in the mountains is beautiful and mild.
Typical temperatures:
Daytime: 65–75°F
Evening: 40–50°F
Afternoon showers are possible, so we recommend bringing a light layer.
Is everything outdoors?
Our ceremony and/or cocktail hour will take place outdoors and mid mountain to take advantage of the stunning mountain views.
It will naturally be cooler than the base of the mountain so keep that in mind.
